Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week, yay!
If you are an avid runner and you suffer from the occasional back pain or knee pain I have some exercises that might help! As I mentioned before, I have had physical therapy for IT Band Syndrome. Once I completed my therapy my therapist suggested I purchase a foam roller to use when I started training again. This is the foam roller that I use.
Now if you have the occasional knee pain after running it could be from a number of things and for me it means my IT Band is flaring up. If this is the case for you, I would recommend doing this exercise with your roller:
This exercise hurts at first, no lie, and it’s usually because I haven’t done it as often as I should!
Occasionally I get lower back pain after my runs and I feel it when I wake up in the morning. The back pain could be for a number of reasons as well but there are two great exercises to help the pain with a foam roller. One is for your hamstrings:
